XYZ have just completed a fully up-to-date postcode dataset of the U.K. ready to use in your GIS system. Available as Sectors, Districts or Areas. As an optional extra you can also get the counts of business and residential poscode address to accompany your data.
You can use these boundaries in many ways including assigning census data and developing sales regions.
